I don't want to scare off the male buyers, but thanks in part to the drawstring that can tighten the waist for women, these shorts are a good buy for either gender. Nothing about them screams "male" or "female" (but don't worry, guys, you won't look like you are wearing women's shorts if you buy these).The quality of these shorts is very good. I've bought over ten pairs now in size S in a variety of colors for my teens of both genders, and they hold up well in the laundry. Everyone likes the shorts & finds them comfortable and the pockets are deep and sturdy. Because of the drawstring and the forgiving style, they fit well on a variety of body shapes and sizes. At the low price (under $8 when I purchased), I've managed to cover a lot of outfits for the warmer months for multiple people at very little cost. My daughter wears them with girly shirts and her brothers manly ones, and everyone is happy. We just keep circulating them through the laundry, and there's always shorts the kids are happy to wear. I expect they will fit next year, too, and still look good.These are great shorts for anyone, but especially for families on a budget and multiple people to keep dressed in warm weather.
