Honestly, this took about a minute to put on. I was concerned because of some of the reviews I read. The instructions were on the package. A tag is sewn on it to show the back. I put it on and tucked in the pillow area. It has elastic on the bottom. So easy. I bought it for a 36 inch upholstered chair that my puppy chewed up. The chair is tuxedo style, which was also a concern for fitting, but that was no problem. It looks really great. I couldn't be happier.
